The antiasthmatic effects of terpene pinol-4 and terpene pinol-4 in vitro and in vivo were stronger than those of Artemisia argyi oil. Alpha-terpene pinenol significantly increased the concentration of cAMP in tracheal smooth muscle relaxation (10-4 g/ml) in guinea pigs, which may be the biochemical mechanism of relaxation of tracheal smooth muscle.

7. Expectorant effect Phenol red method showed that oral or intraperitoneal injection of artemisia archangeles oil in mice had expectorant effect.

8. Antibacterial effect In vitro test of Artemisia argyi leaf oil had inhibitory effect on pneumococci, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus A, Neisseria, Escherichia coli, Typhoid bacillus, paratyphoid bacillus, Dysentery bacillus Fusarium, proteus, etc. The minimum inhibitory concentration was 2×10-3 ~ 4×10-3 ml/ml broth.
